More Information Coming Soon!

Information - Spring Campout 2023

Where: See Pack email for exact location. Tall bushes grow at the edge of the of the meadow. This spot is a Great Group Site! It is a flat, wide open space with plenty of room. This is a medium size meadow surrounded by an aspen grove and of course the choke cherry bushes. It is set up with porta potties including an ADA one.

Tents can be set up in the aspen grove or out in the meadow. There is a 10’x20’ canopy, plus a table and chairs and a wood fire pit. Also, there are a number of wooden spools you can roll around to have a table to prepare meals or hold your drinks while you gaze at the stars. At the edge of the meadow is a trail that leads down to a bridge that crosses the creek. You can drive to and park at the site.

There are alpaca and llamas on site, and our group will receive an up-close lesson about these wonderful animals.

When: The campsite is reserved and you may camp from Friday - Sunday, however the organized events for the campout will beging on Saturday, 4/29 at 10:00 AM and end prior to lunch on Sunday, 4/30.

Meals: We will coordinate lunch and dinner on 4/29 and breakfast on 4/30. Food costs will be calculated closer to the campout date and a per person total will be provided to all attendees.

Campers arriving prior to the scheduled activities  (Friday) are responsible for coordinating their own dinner on 4/28 and breakfast on 4/29.

Water:  We do not have access to water at this location. Please bring enough water to last you and your scout for the duration of your stay.

Please Note: This is NOT a BSA or an official Pack 559 campout. This campout is an opportunity for all of us (who happen to also be Scouts) to meet up in the great outdoors and talk about and use some of the amazing skills we have learned over the last year! With that said, we will still abide by the same guidelines and rules that apply to Pack sponsored activities (youth protection, parental supervision, age/skill appropriate activities, etc.) If you have any questions, please reach out to John Leueunberger, Brian Mudloff, or Sarah Valley.

Packing List

Families are to bring their own camping gear, water, and food (with the exception of Pack-coordinated meals). See packing list for additional details.
