Scouts and their Siblings are to receive a Loopy for each Hike they complete during their Cub Scouting career. Creating Hike Loops (loopies) is a an easy process. Here are a few tips:
Start by choosing Paracord, accent beads and a featured bead. Whenever possible choose a feature bead that matches up with hike's theme.
1) Cut a piece of paracord 10 to 12 inches. Use a candle to melt the ends. Using and a pair of thick leather glove shape the end of the cord in to a cone to make feeding the beads easier.
2) Put the beads on the cord
3) Match up the ends and tie a single knot
4) Removing the inner strings of the paracord can help reduce the paracords size when putting beads on the paracord.
For an added bit of strength you can heat up the two ends and melt them together.
