What is a Den Leader
A Den Leader is the adult leader for each grade level, which is called a Den. The Den Leader ensures that scouts are completing required adventures and progressing in rank advancement. The Den Leader is involved in planning - with involved adult volunteers - the den meetings. They are a Scouts closest connection to Scouting Leadership which places the Den Leader in a position to mold and shape the Scout into a positive citizen.Â
An Assistant Den Leader is an adult leader who supports and may act in place of the Den Leader when the Den Leader is absent. Assistant Den Leaders are in charge of updating the scout book with adventure completions and rank advancements.
